Affiliate Link Encrypter Use the tool... What is it? This tool provides you with: protection for your affiliate link - it both hides and encrypts the link, giving you complete protection from commission theft a more convenient URL - for example, rather than the common long affiliate link that looks something like this: http://www.greatproduct.com/cgi-bin/t.cgi?id=123123 you can use a link on your own domain such as: http://www.yourdomain.com/greatprod.html   How does it work? When you type in your target URL (i.e. the actual affiliate link) and press the button, this tool creates an HTML page that contains some special JavaScript code that understands the encrypted link and redirects the page towards it. This means that even if the enthusiastic commission thief manages to view the source code on the redirection page (which will be difficult as the redirection is immediate), the actual link is encrypted beyond recognition. You have two options for the redirection: Maintain your domain in the browser location bar - this recommended method means that the page you are redirecting towards will actually appear to be part of your own web site, as the URL of the redirection page on your server will show in the browser location bar rather than the web site you are redirecting towards. On top of other advantages, this avoids the problem with some web sites that sometimes show your affiliate details in the location bar, thereby more completely protecting your affiliate information.
